Feast of Unleavened Bread

by: Tess Bueno

Did you know you when you honor Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread you celebrate the responsibilities of a sin-free life? During this time, God's children are encouraged to prepare for the festival by cleaning their house completely and removing leavened products from their homes before Passover (leavened agents that cause dough to expand i.e flour, baking powder etc). You don't have to be Jewish to celebrate this feast. In fact New Testament believers kept them and Apostle Paul passionately told us to keep them.

We also don’t eat anything made with leaven during the seven day festival, because leaven symbolizes sin, and it is during this time that we begin a new season celebrating freedom and a sin free life. So each year we commemorate it by only eating flat unleavened bread -- which represents the purity and righteousness of Christ in us through the Holy Spirit.

We know this may sound quite extreme if you've never heard of it, but DYK that God's Spirit is waiting to manifest in you when you obey Him and put your faith into action? This feast focuses on commemoration and preparation. We hope the scripture we share today can help plant seeds in churches and families to grow and produce an abundance of fruit miracles with each New Season!
