Rise Up In Love & Loyalty

During Women's History Month, we highlight two Great Women in the Bible. And they are... ... drum roll please ..... Martha and Mary! The sisters of Lazarus! They were women of strong faith who asked Jesus to help their brother.

In John 11, it tells the miraculous story of these two sisters who loved their brother and had great faith. They knew Jesus loved Lazarus and believed He will surely heal him. And just as they requested of Him, and to bring glory to God, Jesus spoke and resurrected Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:1-44)

We highlight this story about Martha & Mary's loyalty to their brother because as we approach Resurrection Sunday, it's important to also note that it was a group of women who very early in the morning brought fragrant spices to the tomb of Jesus, 3 days after He was crucified. Their actions spoke of their great love and loyalty to Jesus. ( Luke 24:1-12)

We share both of these stories because it shines a bright light to God's wonderful design and strength of a woman. Their strength is revealed in their diligence, love, and loyalty to Jesus, and to their brother. And because of their strength and loyalty, women were also the first to be commissioned to Go and tell the apostles about the good news that Jesus Has Risen.

During Women's History Month and during this time of crisis in our nation, I want to empower all women out there, to rise up with your wonderful traits of love and compassion! There is great strength in loving people, and women are naturally equipped to bring life and love.

Resurrection Sunday is just around the corner... may these stories inspire you to shine bright in faith and in God's Design! Rise up in love and loyalty to Jesus and Go share His good news! Happy Spring & Women's Month!
