This week, I'm so delighted to share the great works of my Father and my beautiful Mother. This photograph was taken during my parent's 50th Golden Anniversary! My parents both love to dance and I’ve always enjoyed watching my parents dance and boogie and light up the dance floor over the years!
I'm happy to share that being raised in a military family, traveling to different countries, and attending an international school were indeed great blessings! I've always admired my Father for his great work ethic, intelligence, sense of humor, and commitment to serving communities. He was a very hard-working man who loved his job. I spent a great deal of my elementary and high school years with him during his Eagle days, while he served as a Consul at the Embassy, then as a Mayor, then as the Chief of Highway Patrol, and then eventually as a Commanding General. I've always admired his dedication and commitment to serving people in communities. Perhaps that's when I got my early lessons in reaching out to serve people and our Military communities. A community with which I am familiar and can most certainly relate, and enjoy.
My parents have provided us with a very beautiful and blessed life . They've not only blessed and made a wonderful difference in our family, but they’ve also enriched the lives of families in many communities in different countries. They’ve planted many good deeds in many places through their work. I’m writing this to tell everyone how unique and special my parents are, and how I wish I had more time to write more! So honored to lift up my wonderful parents. We may have bounced around and lived in many places but I’ve learned that home is where you serve your community. And it’s truly not a duty for me – it’s what we do, it’s who I am as a Bueno. We work to enrich the lives of people around us in ways that we know how and love to do - in the Gifts God gave us and inspires us to do. So much love and gratitude to General Amante & Gloria Bueno! Celebrating Parents! Celebrating God’s Gifts! Thank you for reading.
